The main entrance to the 4th floor offices is located on Brunswick Street and they can also be accessed through the pedway from Scotia Square Parkade via levels "C," "E" and "F". Building access to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor warehouse space is from the 3rd floor loading dock. Tenants can access their premises after regular business hours by obtaining a Tenant key for their floor. Halifax Developments’ security officers regularly patrol and inspect the building.
Courier drop-off boxes are currently located on the fourth floor at the pedway entrance to the Scotia Square parkade.
HDL requires that courier items to be delivered through the service elevator. Brunswick Place is served by one freight elevator, accessible from 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. The elevator is adjacent to the second and third floor loading areas. One barrier free elevator provides access to the fourth floor from the third floor only.

The fire alarm system consists of a two-stage alarm with voice communication. Upon activation, the alarm sends a signal directly to our security office. The fire department is then immediately called. Also, an emergency team consisting of members of the HDL security and engineering departments are dispatched to begin investigating and assessing the emergency.
Upon activation, the alarm will normally put out a slow ring for approximately five minutes. Should the emergency worsen, a second bell will occur. This bell will ring twice as fast as the first bell. ALL TENANTS ARE TO EVACUATE WHEN THIS BELL RINGS.
Should a fire occur in Brunswick Place, Tenants should pull the nearest fire alarm. Pull stations are located on each floor by each stairwell. When possible, tenants should notify the Customer Service Centre (423-9138) about the fire and its exact location after an evacuation has occurred. Tenants’ first priority should be the safety of all employees and visitors. Tenants should not attempt to fight the fire. Only trained personnel know best how to use the equipment.
Brunswick Place is sprinkler throughout. Further protection is available via smoke and heat detectors.
Canada Post delivers directly to Tenants’ premises.
A full-service post office is available in Lawton’s in the Lower Level of Scotia Square.
A barrier free unit is located at the main entrance on Brunswick Street.
HDL does not provide shipping and receiving for this building. Tenants who wish to ship or receive freight are required to make arrangements on their own. However, there are loading and unloading areas available on the first, second, and third floors with access to the office level via the 3rd floor, main building entrance.
